In this performance, a canvas becomes my stage. I paint my own portrait upside down, crowned by my name written as a vertical ambigram.

This piece explores perspective: how rejection, failure, and self-doubt can be reframed into possibility. As the performance unfolds, the painting transforms, echoing the message in the audio: “The Wheel of Fortune tarot card teaches that nothing stays the same: what’s on top will end up at the bottom, and what’s at the bottom will always rise up.”

Every element - from the background visuals to the costume, makeup, and soundscape - was curated by yours truly. Performed at the inaugural Legacy Pride Pageant in Toronto, hosted by Lemon (winner of CDR: Canada vs the World Season 2).
