Performance from The Love Ball (Feb 2025)
'Free' by Paris Hilton becomes a declaration in my performance: a reminder that Black people are, in fact, free. Free to be queer. In many Black communities, queerness is still rejected; I know this firsthand as I was kicked out of my home at 17 for being queer. This performance is my reclamation. My freedom. My defiance.
Every element - from the background visuals to the costume, makeup, and choreography - was curated by yours truly.
Performed at the Theatre on King (TTOK).
