Terms & Conditions.
Scope of Services
1. These terms apply to all creative services I provide — including but not limited to live performance, drag appearances, voiceover, hosting, emceeing, event consulting, live painting, choreography, and/or custom concept creation for events or media projects.
2. Bookings are confirmed only upon signed agreement and/or receipt of a deposit (as specified per project or event). Until confirmed, availability is not guaranteed.
Ownership & Rights
3. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
Any original performance work created for your event is yours to use at the event, but all copyright and intellectual property rights remain with me (including voiceovers, scripts, choreography, or original artwork).
You may not record, reproduce, or distribute my performances without prior written consent, unless otherwise agreed.
I retain the right to document, promote, and archive my own work — including photography, video clips, or references to public performances — for my portfolio, social media, and promotional use.
Use of Name & Image
4. I may reference your event or project in promotional materials unless you request confidentiality in writing.
5. You may use my name, images, or bio for marketing or event promotion as long as:
They are accurate, respectful, and approved if edited.
You do not use my image or brand for commercial resale without my written permission.
Timing, Cancellations, & Rescheduling
6. Cancellations made more than seven (7) days before the scheduled event may be refunded (minus any prep costs).
7. Cancellations within seven (7) days are non-refundable unless rescheduled with mutual agreement.
8. Significant changes to event time, location, or format must be communicated in writing and may require re-quote or cancellation.
9. If I am prevented from performing due to illness, emergencies, acts of nature, or situations beyond my control, I will communicate as soon as possible and:
Offer to reschedule, or
Refund all payments excluding any non-refundable expenses already incurred (travel, materials, etc.)
Payments & Fees
10. Payment methods:
Cheques should be made payable to Said Jiddawy and mailed to 281 Prince Street, Peterborough, ON, K9J 2A6
E-transfers should be directed to thedragdjinn@gmail.com
11. A deposit (usually 30–50%) is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due either on the day of the event, or within thirty (30) days of receiving the invoice, as agreed.
12. Late payments will incur a 5% monthly interest fee, compounded, until payment is received.
13. If the event is cancelled within three (3) days of the scheduled date, 50% of the total fee must be paid as cancellation compensation. If a deposit was paid, that will count towards this amount.
14. Any requested changes (e.g., lengthening the performance, costume changes, script rewrites, last-minute travel) may incur additional fees. I’ll always let you know in advance.
Approval & Communication
15. You’ll designate one primary contact for the project or event who can provide approvals, updates, and key info.
16. Any performance elements — such as music, script, visual art, or wardrobe — requiring your approval must be signed off in writing before the event.
17. Email or text confirmations count as official approvals unless otherwise specified.
Client Responsibilities
18. You agree to provide a safe, respectful, and appropriate working environment. This includes:
A dressing area or backstage space (if live performance)
Timely access to the venue or platform
Proper communication with all involved staff or coordinators
No hate speech, harassment, or unsafe conditions
19. If any part of the environment poses a risk to health, dignity, or safety, I reserve the right to cancel or leave the event without refund.
Recordings & Media
20. You may take photos or videos for personal or archival use, but you may not monetize, broadcast, or publish recordings of my performance without written consent.
21. I may also request access to high-quality photos or video from the event for my own documentation.
Legal & Liability
22. You confirm that all materials you supply (scripts, music, promotional graphics, etc.) are either owned by you or you have permission to use them.
23. I’m not responsible for issues caused by third-party vendors (e.g., sound techs, lighting, venues) or delays beyond my control.
24. You agree to indemnify me against any legal claims arising from your misuse of the work or violation of these terms.
Governing Law
25. This agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and any disputes will be handled accordingly.
Final Note
By booking me for a performance, creative contribution, or consultation, you acknowledge that you’ve read and agreed to these terms. If you have any questions or accessibility needs — just ask. I’m here to make magic, not paperwork hell.
