A canvas becomes my stage in this performance: a portrait of my own face painted upside down, crowned by my name written as a vertical ambigram.

This number is about perspective - about taking rejection, failure, and self-doubt, and reframing them into possibility. By changing the way we look at things, we change the story we tell ourselves. At the end of the video, I flip the work as the audio reminds us, “The Wheel of Fortune tarot card teaches that nothing stays the same: what’s on top will end up at the bottom, and what’s at the bottom will always rise up.”

Every detail - from the live brushstrokes to the soundscape and reveal - was crafted with intention. Performed at the inaugural Legacy Pride Pageant in Toronto, hosted by Lemon (winner of Canada vs the World Season 2).
